2008_01

This month has been a special month for the westerlind family. This was the month that Porter turned 8 years old. With that he decided that he would get baptized. It was great event for him. We were luck to have a lot of friends come out and show their support for Porter. We were happy that as many people were able to attend that did. The program was very simple. Porter planned the whole thing and even made the calls to ask the people he selected if they would give the talks. While planning the program Camden asked Porter if he could be part of the program and so 5 year old Camden offered the opening pray. He did a very good job and didn't seem the least bit nervous to get up in front of the group by himself. Porters two Grandmas did the talks and Susy gave the closing prayer. Porter did say that he felt the Spirit very strong especially during the Baptism.

Other exciting news Hayli is getting more and more stable on her feet. She started walking last month and is getting a better feel for her footings these days. Camden is coming along very well with his reading. He is showing more confidence in himself which was the onlything that he lacked to read well. He is such a smart guy, he only needs to realize that he is smart and gain that security in himself. Little Rhese is gaining more and more of his own personality. He will start dancing in his own non-rhythimic white boy way. His favorite move these days is to "shake what his momma gave him." He'll stick his non-existant bum out and in attempts to shake it will move his head and shoulders all around. It is pretty cute.
